Choose around your day
A lighter charger for a short commute and a larger one for a long trip solve different problems. Start with the devices you carry and how often you are away from a socket. A very large power bank is less useful if its weight means it stays at home.
Capacity is only part of the picture
The capacity printed on a power bank does not translate directly into a fixed number of phone charges. Conversion losses, battery voltage and your phone’s own battery affect the result. Treat precise charge-count claims cautiously and compare energy figures in watt-hours where supplied.
Match the port, protocol and cable
A USB-C connector alone does not guarantee fast charging. Look for the output supported by the relevant port and confirm that your device and cable support it. On products with multiple ports, check whether the advertised output is shared when more than one device is connected.
Consider travel and long-term use
Check the airline’s current power-bank rules before flying, including its limit, labelling requirements and where the device may be carried. Buy from an identifiable seller with a clear warranty. Stop using a damaged or swollen battery and follow local guidance for safe disposal.
